Photoshop fun!

I am doing extensive training to learn photoshop. Every once in a while, I learn something that really doesn't have a use for day to day photo's. But it adds a neat effect to some photos. Here is an example. I found this old car in the country side north of Saco, while taking Branden Whitakers senior photos. After adding some effects to the original photo, it really changed the feeling of it.

District Volleyball 2008

This past weekend, I spent most of my time at the District Volleyball Tourney. Hundreds of pictures are posted on in my gallery. Here is one of many series shots.

Halloween 2008

At the last minute, I decided to do something different for halloween. Instead of handing out candy, we took a picture of each child in costume. Each will recieve a FREE 4X6 print of their picture. We only had about 50 kids show up. I kinda blame me for the low turn out. We decided to do this after the deadline to do any advertising. I printed coupons and the grade school was kind enough to hand them out to the students. Anyway, the evening was fun and the kids were wonderful to photograph. Here are a couple of samples. Hunting Camp

Since moving back to Malta, I have heard alot about "Hunting Camp". This year I finally checked it out.


The first picture is bacon cooking on Sunday morning. The second is the much needed fire burning on Saturday evening.

Concert Photography

One of the things that got me excited about photography again, was concert photography. I attend a couple different music festivals every year and it gives me that chance to photograph some of my favorite music artists. This picture of Sammy Hagar was taken at Rock Fest in Wisconson a few years ago.

I picked this picture from the 2008 homecoming parade. I shows my uncle Harvey with one of his restored John Deere tractors.

Snowy Morning

This picture was taken after Malta got a few inches of snow. The color image is the original and I also converted to B&W.

Volleyball VS Wolf Point

The lighting at the Malta High School gym is a challenge. I am experimenting with the white balance settings and feel that the color will now be easier for me to match. Here you can see the difference after changing the white balance.
